CUPSI (2017, 2018)
The College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational is an international slam poetry competition held in cities across the United States. Collegiate poets compete with their original works for three days, then the teams are ranked by college or university and awards are given out to the top 3 teams.

Victoria first served the WUSLAM team as a first-year coach in 2017, securing a 1st place victory in the team's first bout*. Later in 2018, she attended CUPSI again in Philadelphia, pictured on the left. The team was led by award winning poet, and known scholar Paul Tran. Under their kind and dynamic guidance, the WUSLAM 2018 CUPSI team placed in the top ten that year.

WUSLAM (2016-2020)
WUSLAM is Washington University in St. Louis's premier and only slam poetry organization. Victoria joined the Performance Crew in 2016, during her first year as an undergraduate student. After attending the Pre-Orientation program Raise Your Voice, Victoria was invited to try out for P-Crew, and was happily welcomed to the team. She served first as a member from 2016-18, then as Treasurer from 2018-19, and a member once more from 2019-2020.
PASTIMES
When Victoria is not writing poetry, she can found performing duets with her younger sibling, Carissa, pictured on the left; baking; working on her vocal range, or growing sunflowers.

Her other writing pursuits include playwriting, short stories, novels, prose, and songwriting.

She turns to authors like Nikki Giovanni, Octavia Butler, bell hooks, Joshua Bennett, nayyirah waheed, James Baldwin and Zora Neale Hurston to guide her in the development of her writer's voice.
